Why Art Should Matter to Christians

By Hand Boutique is coming along... we are contacting vendors,  organizing booths, and putting all those small touches on the even to make it the inspired weekend that it is.

We will begin featuring our artists on this blog and on our facebook page soon, but in the meantime, I thought I would share with you an article I recently read.

" It focuses our eyes on the pain around us, the injustice in front of us, the joy abounding within us, and the pull we feel towards meaning and significance. Music moves us. Poetry connects us. Paintings shout at us. Dance energizes us. Art draws us back into the fold of humanity when we wander out full of pain, discouragement, and bitterness. It whispers, “You are not alone.” "

We'll be back soon with more encouragement for the artists and features of some of the beautiful work we'll be hosting at our event!

Now accepting vendor applications!

The long awaited time is here- we are now accepting applications for vendors at our 2011 show! If you are interested in being a vendor, please email us at byhandboutique@gmail.com for more information.

The By Hand Boutique Market of Homespun Goods will be November 18th and 19th. Mark your calendars and make plans to join us!

We'll be featuring vendors here on our blog over the next month and a half so you can get an idea of what items will be selling this year. Keep an eye here and on our facebook page.

We're looking forward to a fun event!
